Investing in massage and bodywork is an investment in your health.
Generally, types of massage and bodywork therapy treatments may include therapeutic Swedish massage, myofascial massage, energy bodywork, hot stone, aroma therapy, and hydrotherapy. However, at this moment, therapeutic abdominal massage and joint mobilization are the two specialties and focused services to help expound the studies of the massage and bodywork therapy overall affects.
A massage is a form of bodywork that involves the manipulation of soft tissue through touch to promote a client's well-being and health that uses several different techniques. Oil or creme is used to reduce friction on the skin. Massage and bodywork therapy can offer several benefits ranging from relaxation to general health improvement. For instance, joint mobilization improves and aids flexibility of the joints and overall body movements. The abdominal massage enhances the integumentary, muscular, nervous, endocrine (immunity), cardiovascular, lymphatic, respiratory, digestive, urinary, and reproductive systems. The skeletal system on the other hand can be indirectly affected or corrected depending on the body's condition. This integrative approach focuses on how the multiple systems work synergistically. When the body is given a balanced condition, it can expedite the recovery. The results aid posture, breathing, reduction of stress and anxiety, increased clarity, increased energy, and a greater sense of the mind-body-spirit connection.
Please note that massage and bodywork therapies specifically exclude the diagnosis, prescription, manipulation/adjustments of the human skeletal structure, and or any other procedure/therapy which requires a license to practice. Unless otherwise obtained such certifications.
